Having paid a high price for the room, I found it to be clean but small with limited amenities. The hotel's location was unbeatable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However, the lack of air conditioning made the room a bit stuffy.
The hotel had its ups and downs. While the rooms were spotlessly clean, the space was limited and there was a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke lingering. The service was upbeat and welcoming, although a bit too friendly at times. The location was perfect for accessing key attractions, but not ideal due to the surrounding atmosphere. The dining experience offered a surprisingly good variety but fell short in some areas. Overall, a mix of positive and negative experiences.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were decent, but unfortunately, the noise from the corridor was disturbing. On the positive side, the service was top-notch with attentive staff. The location was ideal for exploring the city, especially China Town, but the dining options left something to be desired.
The hotel had a few drawbacks like the rooms being very hot throughout the night even when turning off the radiator, broken fire alarm, and a corridor filled with booze bottles from the previous night. The broken light in the bathroom and walls needing paint were noticeable. Despite the noise level from nearby bars till 3:30 am, the reception and bar areas were aesthetically pleasing. On the positive side, the service was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring the city center and train station.
The hotel rooms weren't as clean as other hotels I've stayed in; they looked like they needed vacuuming with dust and crumbs in the corners. Additionally, there was spilled something down the door and walls that hadn't been cleaned off. The noise from nearby bars made it difficult to sleep on Thursday night, and the rooms, although a bit small, are typical for this type of hotel.
The hotel was spotless, and overall one of the best stays we have ever had in Birmingham. The rooms were as basic as they come but warm enough. Facing a nightclub with music blaring until at least 3 am was a downside. The service was a mix of very helpful individuals and some communication issues with staff. The location was very central and convenient for exploring the city, though noise and vibration were a drawback. The dining experience offered a nice selection each morning but lacked in some aspects. The facilities were good overall.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were compact, comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed for a one-night stay. The service was friendly and efficient. However, the noise from the extractor fan in the bathroom was a bit bothersome.
